She danced
privately
that one
night,
allowing me
to capture
her beauty
for my personal
collection-
not just a
static sketch
in my
memory.

I traced the
lines
of her spine
to her feet,
drinking
every inch
of her
rich silky
skin-
sipping her
in slowly.

I tasted her
soul
that she
spilled out
completely,
the sweet
reward
was
of her
looking back-
seeing
into me.

Her
simple gift
of
dance that
night,
eternal
liquidity-
living,
breathing,
beating,
flowing,
moving,
inside
of me.

She
remembered
me-
our secret
little gift
of that
night,
by willing
my still
photograph
back
after
she died.

I am
gratefully
indebted
to her
private
dance of
love,
then and
now and
for all of
eternity.
