I lay here thinking of the words you’ve spoken,
all alone my heart is broken.

I think I’ll sail away out to sea,
to forget the day you took my heart from me.

You haunt me still in dreams and thought,
you promised to always forget me not!

If I float, drift, and rock,
will my thoughts forget you not?

The water seems tranquil, peacefully still,
my thoughts reflect on your words, “I love you and I always will.”

I will pluck these thoughts of you forever,
the love you gave then took has made me quite bitter.

This boat is my home
I want to live here alone
Cold- numb without you
